DAY 1
Cochin – Bagdogra – Phuentsholing
Your journey begins at Cochin International Airport, where you meet your Tour Manager and start your trip to the magical kingdom of Bhutan. Fly to Bagdogra, known as the gateway to the Eastern Himalayas. On arrival, continue with a scenic
drive to Phuentsholing, located along the Indo-Bhutan border. The journey covers around 170 kilometers and takes approximately 5 hours, offering views of lush greenery and a gradual transition from the plains of India to Bhutan’s peaceful
foothills. At an altitude of 293 meters, Phuentsholing is a lively commercial town and the main entry point into Bhutan. It reflects a blend of Indian and Bhutanese cultures, giving you your first glimpse of the country’s unique character.
After arrival, check in to your hotel and relax.

DAY 2
Phuentsholing – Thimphu
Start your day by completing immigration formalities as you officially enter Bhutan.
Proceed on a scenic drive to Thimphu, the capital city, covering approximately 176 kilometers in about 6 hours. The route winds through mountains, valleys and forests, with colorful prayer flags adding to the serene atmosphere.
Located at an altitude of 2,248 meters, Thimphu is a unique city where tradition and modern life exist side by side, with monasteries and fortresses blending seamlessly into everyday life.
On arrival, check in to your hotel. In the evening, visit Tashichho Dzong, an impressive fortress that serves as both the administrative and religious center of Bhutan. The structure looks especially beautiful in the evening.

DAY 3
Thimphu Sightseeing
Spend the day exploring Thimphu and its cultural highlights.
Begin with a visit to Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Dordenma), where you can enjoy an outside view of the massive Buddha statue overlooking the valley. Continue to the National Memorial Chorten, a key religious site where locals gather to pray
and spin prayer wheels.
Visit the Hindu Temple, reflecting Bhutan’s cultural inclusiveness, followed by Simply Bhutan, a living museum that offers insight into traditional Bhutanese life.
In the afternoon, visit a peaceful Nunnery set amidst nature. Head to the BBS Tower viewpoint for panoramic views of the Thimphu Valley. Explore the National Library, which houses a rich collection of ancient manuscripts and Bhutanese literature.
Later, walk through the Centenary Farmers Market, where you can find fresh produce, local food items and handmade goods. End your day at the Craft Bazaar, a great place to shop for traditional souvenirs.

DAY 4
Paro Sightseeing
Drive to Paro, one of Bhutan’s most scenic valleys. Along the way, enjoy views of the Paro River and stop at the Paro Airport Viewpoint, known for its dramatic mountain surroundings.
Begin your sightseeing with a visit to the Ta Dzong National Museum, which displays Bhutanese art, historical artifacts and traditional thangkas.
Continue to Rinpung Dzong, meaning “Fortress of the Heap of Jewels,” an important landmark known for its striking architecture and cultural significance.
You will also visit the Museum of Lights, which showcases Bhutan’s transition from pre-electricity times to modern development.
Spend the evening at leisure.

DAY 5
Paro Sightseeing
Explore more of Paro with a day that offers both adventure and relaxation.
You may choose to visit the famous Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched dramatically on a cliff. This sacred site is one of Bhutan’s most iconic attractions and offers stunning views along with a spiritually uplifting experience. If
time allows, continue to Drukgyel Dzong, a historic fortress ruin with scenic mountain views.
Alternatively, enjoy a relaxed day with a drive to Sangchen Chokhor Monastery, where you can take in panoramic views of Paro Valley and visit the peaceful temple.
Return to Paro in the evening. You can try traditional Bhutanese attire such as the Gho and Kira and explore the local markets for unique handicrafts and souvenirs.

DAY 6
Paro – Phuentsholing – Siliguri
Leave from your hotel in Paro and begin your return journey.
Drive towards Phuentsholing, descending from the Himalayan region to the plains. The route offers scenic views of mountains, rivers and greenery.
From Phuentsholing, continue your journey to Siliguri, a busy town known as the gateway to Northeast India. The shift from Bhutan’s calm atmosphere to the lively energy of Siliguri adds a different dimension to your travel experience.

Siliguri – Bagdogra Airport Drop
